Parish Councils are encouraged to attend and participate. DESCRIPTION:Gain a new perspective on praying\, in particular\, praying the rosary. Get excited to pick up your prayer beads and enter into a mediative state by falling into a gentle rhythm that will quiet your thoughts and help you concentrate on each of the Mystery. WHY@Breakfast has arranged for an online presentation on praying the rosary with more depth and being more spiritually connected. \nGuest speaker\, Sister Eileen Power\, a member of the Congregation of Notre Dame of Montreal (CND)\, will share her insights on how to relate the rhythm and the focus of each mystery of the rosary to our own lives during the hour-long presentation. Sister Eileen has over 30 years of teaching experience\, including teaching at Notre Dame High School in Toronto\, and was involved in chaplaincy during her teaching years with the Toronto Separate School Board. Since her retirement as a teacher\, Sister Eileen has been offering retreats and facilitating programs for high school chaplains and the wider community. In recent years\, Sister Eileen provides spiritual direction to those who wish to seek God with a spiritual companion. \nThere is no fee to register for the presentation\, but you may wish to consider donating to your favourite charity. DESCRIPTION:Together\, let us open our hearts in love and hope as we wait the celebration of our precious Jesus’ birth. Although we can’t gather in person for this event\, we can gather spiritually as sisters in Christ and in our League. \nTherese Lee\, the organizer of the event\, is a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes in Waterloo. She has been organizing the WHY@Breakfast presentations since 2010. This year\, the series will be offered online via ZOOM\, due to COVID.  It is a FREE event and all fellow Catholics are invited to attend. The purpose of the series is to help provide meaningful support as we prepare for the coming of the Advent season.  Therese writes: “By November 21st\, we would have eight months of pandemic life! Some of us might have experienced struggles in faith\, difficulties in grieving\, decline in mental health\, loss of the sense of real connection with the community\, etc. On November 21st\, Father Con plans to help us align our Hope and Joy with our honest experience during this difficult time. Elisa’s dramatization will pass on the wisdom of our great church doctor St. Teresa of Avila to focus on the Hope of all Christians.” “Fr. Con probably needs no introduction in our diocese.  Elisa Lollino is an actress and playwright. She has been featured on Catholic Register and performed at school board events\, parishes\, and Catholic conferences. She is going to be so convincing as St. Teresa on November 21st.”\n\nYou may register online or by email (email to whyatbreakfast@gmail.com). Once you have registered\, you will be sent two ZOOM links – one for the 9:30 AM morning session and one for the 2 PM afternoon session.
