New Years Message from Diocesan President Dec 31 2024

Dear CWL Members, Spiritual Advisors, and Hamilton Diocesan Executive Team,

As we step into this New Year, I greet you with heartfelt gratitude and hope. Together, we’ve accomplished much, and I am confident that 2025 holds even greater promise for the Hamilton Diocesan Council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada.

We embark on this journey during the Year of Mercy, a time to embrace God’s infinite love and forgiveness, knowing that He never disappoints. Let us move forward with open hearts and open minds, ready to welcome one another in unity and compassion. May this year be one of inclusivity, where every voice is valued and every hand contributes to our shared mission. Let us support and encourage one another with compassion and grace, lifting each other up in faith and purpose as we proclaim, “Here I am, Lord. Send me!”

As women of faith, may we truly be beacons of hope and light to everyone we meet, shining with the joy of the Gospel and the peace of Christ. To each member and Spiritual Advisor, I extend my prayers for your continued health, strength, and inspiration. Together, let us strive for a successful year rooted in service, guided by the wisdom of Our Lady of Good Counsel.

My Prayer for you:

Heavenly Father,

As we stand on the threshold of this new year, we turn to You with hearts full of hope and gratitude. You are the source of all light and goodness, and we ask You to guide us as we journey forward together.

Fill us with the courage to embrace inclusivity, seeing Your image in every person we encounter. Help us to build meaningful connections with one another, rooted in love, understanding, and compassion. May we be instruments of unity, weaving bonds that reflect Your Kingdom on earth.

Lord, let us shine brightly in Your light, that we may “Sparkle Your Way,” radiating hope, kindness, and joy wherever we go. In our words and actions, may we inspire others to draw closer to You, becoming beacons of Your infinite mercy and love.

Bless our efforts in the year ahead. Strengthen us for the challenges we face and open our hearts to the opportunities You provide. Together, may we walk boldly in faith, ever mindful that Your presence is with us.

We ask this through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

With blessings and gratitude, your sister in service through Christ,

Teresa
