January 7, 2026
Dear Sisters in Christ,
As we begin this new year together, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your faith-filled service, leadership, and witness. With deep joy and hope, we prepare to celebrate another blessed year of transformational change, guided always by Christ at the centre of our work and our lives.
We warmly welcome the new National Theme for 2026–2028:
“Ignite Your Passion, Empower His Mission.”
This beautiful theme invites us to draw inspiration from the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Gospel call to discipleship—where hearts are ignited through encounter, relationship, and a lived commitment to Christ. It calls us to deepen our faith, to serve with renewed purpose, and to strengthen our connection with Christ’s love and mission in the world.
This National theme harmonizes perfectly with our Hamilton Diocesan theme, Sparkle God’s Way. Together, they remind us that when our hearts are ignited by Christ’s love, our lives naturally reflect His light. Through our words, actions, and service, we are called to be beacons of hope, compassion, and grace—women who lead not by position alone, but by example, humility, and love.
May the light of Christ guide every decision you make, inspire every act of service you offer, and draw you ever closer to holiness. As gracious servant leaders, may we continue to walk together in unity, supporting one another, listening with open hearts, and responding faithfully to God’s call in our families, parishes, communities, and councils.
As we journey forward, may we take to heart the words of the Gospel:
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
May this year be filled with peace, unity, and a renewed awareness of God’s immeasurable love for each of us. Together, let us continue to ignite passion, empower His mission, and sparkle God’s way—always grounded in faith, guided by grace, and strengthened by sisterhood.
With prayerful best wishes for a blessed and hope-filled year,
Teresa
