Dear Sisters in the League,
Easter is a beautiful time to rejoice and share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our lives are transformed with a new hope, a new trust and a new love through the death and resurrection of Christ. As we recognize this indwelling presence in our hearts, may our actions reflect the power of His redeeming love for us.
It was heartwarming to have so many CWL Council Presidents and members join us at the Regional “Chat in the Hat”. The creativity and variety of hats members wore was a sight to behold. Please remember to send a photo of yourself in your hat to our Communications Chair, Mary Clark.
It was wonderful to hear how councils are reaching out to their members through emails, newsletters, phone calls, personal cards, and virtual chats. It is especially important to stay connected through these trying times.
We invite all members to join in the Virtual Vigil Prayer Service honouring Our Lady of Good Counsel on Sunday April 25, at 7:00 pm. Check the website for further details.
There are some new added features on the Hamilton Catholic Women’s League website. Be sure to check out the “Milestone Recognition” page, as well as “Let Your Light Sparkle” page. On the website, you can also find the 2019 Annual Report Book, Nomination/Elections Guideline and 100 Years of Resolutions.
The 2020 and 2021 Diocesan Annual General Meeting (AGM)) which was to be held on May 29, 2021 has been postponed to a later date. With the shifting government protocols and health regulations for COVID-19, it was deemed not feasible at this time. We will keep you appraised of the new date for the AGM.
As we work together in community with our Sisters in the League, may Our Lady of Good Counsel continue to lead us to the Risen Lord.
