President’s 3rd Letter

September 2021

Dear Sisters in the League

As the sun sets over the lake, our summertime draws close to an end.  It has been an exciting summer starting with our Canadian Olympic athletes showcasing their hard work and training. The historical partial virtual Annual Meeting of Members for both Provincial and National councils with wonderful presentations, reports and sisterhood.  And the unveiling of our new National theme “Catholic and Living It” that begins in January 2022.

Yet the best news, was the elections of the National council where our very own Life Member Shari Guinta was elected “National President-Elect”.  Congratulations Shari, you make us proud!!

We say goodbye to Camille Naranjit who has resigned as Resolutions Chairperson due to work and family commitments.  We thank Camille for all her hard work and dedication to the League.

We gladly accept Kathy Imperatore as the new Brant/Hamilton Regional Chairperson.  Kathy is a welcome addition to our Diocesan Executive team.

Please join us in our Fall Regional “Chat in the Hat” country & western style.  The various dates/times can be found on the Hamilton Diocesan CWL website.  All members are welcome to attend the virtual chat.  We’ll rope you into having a real good time.  Heehaw!!

The 100th & 101st Annual Meeting of Members for Hamilton Diocese will be held on Saturday October 23, 2021.  Every member will need to register by October 10, 2021 for this partial virtual annual meeting of members.  Further information will be sent to each council and posted on the Hamilton Diocesan CWL website. We hope to have a great turnout to this historic event.

May Our Lady of Good Counsel encourage us in our ministry as we “Care for our Common Home”.

“All things bright and beautiful … He gave us eyes to see them and lips that we might tell.  How great is the Almighty who has made all things well.”
